With a distinct sound and style, Corner Pocket is quickly gaining recognition in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. Backed by a star-studded rhythm section featuring the legendary bassist Lynn Seaton, Corner Pocket’s hard swinging rhythm is enough to get anyone out of their seats and on to the dance floor.
22 Rick Rigsby & TRQ
Over the past 20 years electric bassist Rick Rigsby has performed or shared the stage with such greats as Johnnie Taylor, Kirk Whalum, and Billy Preston. David Ritz, author and contributing editor with Rolling Stone magazine, states “Rick Rigsby is one of the most dynamic and prolific bassists today.”
29 Steve Story Quartet
Jazz violinist Steve Story is nationally known for his technique on this historical instrument in jazz. Story has toured with such artists as Ricky Van Shelton, Louise Mandrell, and Ray Price.

5 Shelley Carrol Quintet
Saxophone legend Shelley Carrol, leads this young group of local musicians featuring improvised jazz music.
12 Althea Rene
Althea Rene is a rising star on the smooth jazz scene both as a flautist and vocalist.
19 The James Gilyard Ensemble
James Gilyard, jazz bassist, composer, and producer leads this ensemble which includes Ms. Simone Rogers, a new voice on the local jazz scene. Gilyard has performed with Kenny Burrell, James Clay, Red Garland, Barney Kessell, Billy Hart and Roseanne Vitro to name a few.
26 Javier Gutierrez & Mosaic
This Latin Jazz ensemble performs main stream jazz standards with a Latin flare and an array of reggae, calypso, and Brazilian rhythms.
