Tour the Museum’s permanent collection with Sheena Scharff, DMA McDermott Intern.
 
Studio Creations

In the Center for Creative Connections, discover the possibilities of uncommon sculpture materials inspired by the self-portraits of artist Janine Antoni. In the studio, use soap to carve your own self-portrait.

Reading Rainbow: Appelemando’s Dreams
2:00–2:30 p.m., C3 Theater
Because Appelemando spends so much of his time dreaming, the villagers are convinced that he will not amount to much. In time, his dreams change the village and the people in it. Expression through art is the emphasis of this program. LeVar Burton explores art techniques, and interviews a wire artist, mural artist, potters, and a sidewalk chalk artist who makes his own pastels. (30 min., ages 5 and up)
 
Performance in the Galleries featuring the John Adams Duo
