The Museum Thanks 2007–2008 K–12 Education Programs Sponsors!
As we approach the 2007–2008 school year, we thank the sponsors of the Dallas Museum of Art’s K–12 education programs. The K–12 programs, which serve North Texas students and teachers in the classroom, in the Museum, and via the Internet through the Museum’s Web site, acquaint area students and their teachers with the Museum and its encyclopedic collections, and with the life-changing power of art, as viewers, interpreters, and creators. The K–12 programs annually serve more than 71,000 students and teachers, bringing the Museum’s stimulating collections to private school students and children attending more than thirty-three school districts within our community. From the Go van Gogh® Outreach Program to the popular School Tours program, these vital programs allow the Museum to serve children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn about and embrace art and its history, nor explore what artistic expression teaches us about ourselves and those who came before us.
