This exceptional example of English modernist silver is indicative of the finest in art deco design of the interwar period. The set is particularly significant not only for the sheer beauty of its architecturally inspired shapes but also due to Stabler’s intriguing combination of traditional and modern materials: silver, ivory, and wood are used with Bakelite, an early plastic.
