Gerald Murphy in Letters, Literature, and Life
Friday, August 15

Join Dr. Linda Patterson Miller, Professor of Literature at Pennsylvania State University and author of Letters from the Lost Generation: Gerald and Sara Murphy and Friends, as she examines the personal and literary relationships between the Murphys and their close friends, including F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway.

Be inspired by the work of Gerald Murphy and other modern masters like Pablo Picasso and Fernand Léger in the Museum’s permanent collection. Bring your pencils and sketchbooks and join professional artists for guided sketching at the DMA and Nasher Sculpture Center. All levels of experience welcome.
