First Tuesdays

For young children and their adult companion

Admission to the Museum is free on the first Tuesday of every month. First Tuesday programming is designed for children ages five and under and their families. Enjoy thematic art-making activities, story times, performances, and gallery activities.

Experiment with a variety of instruments and materials to create sounds of the sea.

Join award-winning storyteller Ann Marie Newman for stories, songs, and games based on works in the Museum’s collections.

12:15–12:45 p.m., Meet at the Center for Creative Connections entrance
Gaze at calm waters and prepare for stormy seas as we explore paintings of the ocean in the Museum’s collections.

story time with the Dallas public library

Listen to enchanting stories told by our librarian friends.

puppet pals storytime with Sandy Shrout
1:30–2:15 p.m., Center Space
Get lost in a good story with energetic storyteller Sandy Shrout and her cast of lovable puppets.

 


The Atrium Cafe Welcomes First Tuesday Families!

Featuring Kids’ Combos for $5.99 with a choice of Crispy Chicken Strips, Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jammer, or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich. Combos include carrot sticks with ranch dip, chips, and milk or a Capri Sun drink.
