First Tuesdays

For young children and their adult companion

Admission to the Museum is free on the first Tuesday of every month. First Tuesday programming is designed for children ages five and under and their families. Enjoy thematic art-making activities, story times, performances, and gallery activities.

Imagine a family dinner party in the Reves Collection dining room, view a Japanese painted screen, and discover an elaborate African mask as we explore celebrations around the world in art.

Listen to enchanting stories told by our librarian friends and participate in an Every Child Ready to Read mini-workshop.

Holiday on Strings with the Dallas Puppet Theater

Enjoy a magical, musical marionette treat from our friends at the Dallas Puppet Theater.


The Atrium Cafe Welcomes First Tuesday Families!

Featuring Kids’ Combos for $5.99 with a choice of Crispy Chicken Strips, Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jammer, Gooey Grilled Cheese, Turkey and Cheese Sandwich, or Mummy Wrapped Hot Dog. Combos include carrot sticks with ranch dip, chips, and milk or a Capri Sun drink.
