CLASSES
Arturo’s Art & Me
Selected Saturdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 11:00 a.m.–noon. Members free/Nonmembers $10 (per pair). All supplies provided. The class is taught by Museum education staff. Class size is limited to twelve pairs. To register call 214-922-1822.
For 3–5 year olds and a favorite grown-up! Adults and young children will work together to look at works of art, read a related story in the galleries, and do an art-making activity.

Explore the exhibition TWO x TWO x TEN: Celebrating Ten Years of Two by Two for AIDS and Art and be inspired to create your own narrative story in our gallery guide. Come back to the studio and use your ideas to illustrate a painted scene from your story.
December 6–21

Celebrate Egypt with holiday printmaking! Draw a special scene narrated with hieroglyphics for your holiday card and then print it on real papyrus.
Sketching in the Galleries for Kids
Every third Saturday with some exceptions, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Families are invited to sketch from original works of art. All supplies are provided.

Scooby-Doo: Where’s My Mummy?
Scooby-Doo and the gang run for their mummies as ancient mysteries unravel. Archaeologist and super sleuth Velma is in Egypt for the unveiling ceremony of the restored Sphinx—a mysterious mythical creature with the head of a man and the body of a lion—only to discover a hidden tomb belonging to Cleopatra herself! But beware the ancient pharaoh’s curse! (75 min., ages 5–adult)

Mysteries of Egypt
Egypt is and ever was a place of mystery. Many rumors spread around the great Pyramids of Giza, the tomb of King Tutankhamun, and the famous River Nile. This highly entertaining story of ancient Egypt unfolds through the tales of a grandfather who explains the archaeological wonders to his inquisitive granddaughter. (40 min., ages 7–adult)
