School Outreach in Dallas
Go van Gogh® brings the Dallas Museum of Art to 1st through 6th grade students in schools throughout North Texas. Trained volunteers lead experiences that encourage students to look closely at works of art, ask and answer questions, and make personal connections. All programs include hands-on activities that provide opportunities for individual creative expression.
Teachers may request one-hour or ninety-minute programs led by trained volunteers. Each participating student receives a pass that provides free general admission to the Dallas Museum of Art for the student’s family.
• Only available to public and private schools within Dallas city limits
• Scheduling for the 2014-2015 school year will begin August 18, 2014.
• Available September 23, 2014–May 21, 2015
• Minimum of fifteen students per classroom, maximum of thirty students per classroom
• Only one program topic may be scheduled on a single day. Classes with more than one grade are encouraged to pick the program for the younger grade.
• Teachers must be present during the presentation.

School Outreach outside of Dallas
Satellite and site-specific outreach programs bring Go van Gogh® to schools and school districts outside Dallas city limits. For these programs, the district or school provides the volunteers and supplies for the art activities.
What is the satellite program?
Entire school districts outside Dallas city limits may participate in the Go van Gogh® Satellite Program. The district's administration must approve Go van Gogh® involvement and appoint a project coordinator to schedule programs and volunteers. The district is responsible for recruiting volunteers to present Go van Gogh® programs to their students. The district also must purchase required supplies and equipment necessary to complete the art activities for all programs.
What does the Museum provide for satellite programs?
The Museum provides artwork images, program content, and training necessary to conduct outreach presentations. The Museum also provides a list of necessary supplies for the art activities and names of suggested suppliers.
What is the site-specific program?
The Go van Gogh® Site-Specific Program operates beyond Dallas city limits to provide individual schools with Go van Gogh® programs. School principals must give consent and appoint a project coordinator responsible for scheduling programs and volunteers. Schools must also recruit volunteers to deliver the Go van Gogh® presentations.

Go van Gogh® Summer Library Program
Go van Gogh® outreach programs at Dallas Public Libraries are free for all participants. Presentations are one-hour long and consist of an interactive conversation and art-making activities for children ages 6-12.
