Student Visits

Through a docent-guided or self-guided visit, K-12 and higher education students can explore the Museum’s collections and special exhibitions.

A printable PDF version of the Museum Visit Request Form is available for you to return by mail. Our Online Request Form will be available soon. Availability is limited, and openings are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Online Museum Visit Request Form

Step 1 * Step 2 * Step 3

Before completing this form, please review the following:

  • Read the general information on student group museum visits and scheduling museum visits.

  • Make sure you have selected five potential museum visit dates to submit in this form. Please check bus availability, testing dates, and holidays first and remember the Museum is closed on Mondays. Out of your five date choices, we will schedule you for the first available date.

  • If you would like to bring more than the maximum number of students we can accomodate per hour on docent-guided tours, you have two options:
    • Schedule visits on more than one day, dividing students between days. If choosing this option, you need to submit a Museum Visit Request Form for each day you are requesting a visit. (example: If you are going to split your students between two days, you will need to submit two request forms with five date choices on each.)

    • Schedule your visit on a single day and have half of your students tour with docents while the other half enjoy a self-guided tour of the Museum, and then have the groups switch after one hour. If choosing this option, submit only one Museum Visit Request Form and select either the "11:00 & 12:00" or "12:00 & 1:00" times for your docent-guided tours. (This option is not available at "10:00 & 11:00".)
    • Important Note: We will not have space available for students to eat sack lunches following their tours. Teachers will be responsible for making alternate eating arrangements for their groups.
